PA & Non Resident permits/Honors More States
PA' Attorney General Tom Corbett has posted a statement about PA Honoring Non Resident Permits. All permits are honored no matter what state the person resides in.
He has also added CO, ID, LA, MT, ND and UT to the list of states that PA will honor. Handgunlaw.us will be updated in the next 24 hours to reflect these changes.

Wow! That is quite something! Thx Gary. Hope the state police are made aware.
Only other day we debating re the PA supposed refusal to honor a FL non-res .. but if someone now it seems has a valid ''home'' permit they are good to go.
Be nice to have some other states go that route.

I'll +1 that news and ditto the hope for PSP's honoring it as well. When the question of PSP not honoring non-res. CCL if the individual didn't reside in the state from which the non-res. permit was issued, I asked a trooper I know what his take was. Heck, it seems PSP has trouble enough crossing out of state with the neighboring LAs if he (the PSP) is caught carrying, according to him!
So, he didn't seem up on the issue and was happy enough to let the State Attorney General duke it out with his higher-ups.

From what I hear there was a lot of people contacting everyone in government in PA and complaining. I also believe that Attorney General Corbett is very pro gun and when it got to him he put it to rest. An Email to him saying, Thank You, would be very nice.

Corbett for president!!!
Now that he's set an example, hopefully the other states will come to their senses too.

Might want to check on that, that's a state park IIRC, no carry in state parks

Does anyone know how the PA State Police is treating this more emphatic position on non-res permits being taken by the AG's office?

The PSP is a pretty good bunch, if your traveling through, before you come to PA, just print off a couple of pages from the AG's website and take them with you.
I haven't heard of too many guys getting hassled.

Does anyone have a link to the new ruling? I for one complained to the AG, SP and Governor's office last week.
