    Bears are known carriers of trichinosis. If you insist on eating bear meat, make sure it is cooked thoroughly, and avoid cross-contamination.

    Moderator, let's close this one down. We're way off point anyhow. Thanks for all the bear suggestions. Today the wife went carrying not her .38, but a bell to let the beast at least know she was comin' on through! No sighting BTW.
