I don't think I could ever have enough patientce to work behind a gun counter or at a range. There are just too many blowhards out there who think they know it all.

You couldn't work at a gun store or range because there are too many blowhards, but you can hang out on an internet gun forum?

The guy does sound like a blow-hard but is it possible he WANTS to learn about handguns and was trying in a bad way to make himself part of the group? This happened to me a few years ago. I even got him into a handgun safety class, so he could learn. Course, it's still possible your guy is a blow-hard!

    Very different:
    1. sharing the info you have, however little
    2. insisting on sharing knowledge you don't have.

This guy had the spank coming.

I can admit, there are times that I can be a blow-hard. More when its computer related. When it comes to guns, I prefer to listen. And yes, he could have made an attempt to listen. But to interrupt my friend and trying seem more superior than him just because my friend doesn't have a CHL and thus disqualifies him as person with knowledge about guns doesn't flow well with me.

I have met those types many times. All you have to do is get them talking and let them hang themselves. They always do.

    I bet it felt good.
