    Florida CWP Question

Can anyone recommend the best Florida class of instruction, to obtain a CWP in Florida? A link or phone # would be great. I understand that a Florida CWP is good in 28 states. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks, juking

I see a Semper Fi in your post. If that means you're a vet, your DD214 is accepted in lieu of the training course.

Depending on where you are, Knight shooting sports in clearwater does everything, D/G and ccw classes.

Bullseye Range and the FOP in Jax have the classes you're looking for. I'd recommend using the DD214 to get your paperwork going, but take the class anyway to refresh on the rules. Charlie Berrane travels the state teaching CCW class at Gun Shows -- my wife took his CCW class and said he taught well.

Nope. You still are required by Florida law to take the appropriate classes (of which I highly recommend taking them at S2 Institute). BUT, your military background opens you up to a lot better opportunities than civvies like me.

I know for a fact that your DD214 will suffice for the CWL, I used my DD214 to get my license. I can't speak to it's applicability to other licenses though.

I agree. Even though I could have used my DD214, I decided to take the CCW class at Bullseye. In addition to the excellent class, they also provided the necessary forms and photographs for the CCW application.
