One of my favorite places is off limits!

    Home Depot

The HD in my area is now posted as CPZ.
I know the last time I went in that it was not. Does anyone know if this a corporate policy or local?
I called the store and spoke to a "Manager" and he said "As far as I know it's a corporate policy." He also said that the sign used to be at the service counter.
I haven't been able to get through to the customer service hot line but I'll try again tomorrow.

I'm very disappointed by this. I have pretty much shopped HD exclusively because they offer a Military Discount and have been reported as playing very fair with their reservist employees. And, until now, I thought they were pro 2A.

I guess I have to find another toy store!

There is always Lowes. And they have people that like to help!

There has been discussion here about Home Depot before and IIRC they come out below Lowes for allowing carry.
I haven't seen either posted here in Nashville, but other than places prohibited by law there isn't much posting here anyway.

Home Depot stores act discretionally according to the Branch Managers will, drop him a line with a estimate of how much money you are now going to spend solely at Lowes per year, it's probably all you can do.

We've had a Lowes here for many years. Home Depot moved in about 3-4 years ago and I don't know how it stays in business. Everyone goes to Lowes. I'll have to look next time I'm in that area, but I've never noticed it posted. If it is, there goes even more business..Let us know if you hear anymore.

That's been my take too - ours are right opposite each other almost (several years now) and you only have to compare parking lots as you approach!!!

I haven't been to one in some while but they can be sure that if - unlikely here I'd think - they had any sign, that would be it - no more visits and a definite letter to HQ.

The contractor in me likes Home Depot. Lowes has more designer stuff, but not the selection of building stuff. Luckily the HDs around aren't posted (that I've noticed). The girls are cuter at Lowes, though.

The HDs here aren't posted, so it's not corporate policy. I'd contact the store again and also the corporate HQ.

Lowe's is a much better store anyway. I don't like Home Depot. I have never had good experiences with Home Depot.

My advice, ditch HD and go with Lowe's.

neither Sutherland's, Lowe's, or HD are posted here so its not corporate policy

....and as for us.....Lowe's customer service/help is horrible, HD is way better....I guess its different everywhere

No signs at our HD. If they ever pull that crap here, I've got a Lowe's card and would give them my business instead of HD even though it is a long drive to Lowe's from here.

Actually, I've found only one sorta posted place here, and their sign is so hard to find and so non-standard and unreadable, that they are just kidding themselves. I asked the manager about it and was told it's a company policy, but every other store of theirs in our area is not posted at all. The world is full of liars and idiots!

I have not noticed any signs at HD or lowe's. I'll have to look next time I'm there. I try not to go to those places unless I have to. There are some great locally owned building supply places I go to instead.

I am going to talk with the manager at HD tomorrow and give him an alternative sign from www.ohioccw.org

I hope I can persuade them to remove the posting. The closest Lowes is another 20 miles from me and they don't have the same quality items.
