Alaska's the only other state other than VT that doesn't require a permit to LEGALLY carry a concealed handgun. However, the permit is still offered, and I took advantage of receiving my Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit, as it is called here in The Last Frontier. So for anyone here that is thinking about taking a trip to Alaska, permit or no permit, you can legally carry. I know a lot of people who go fishing, hiking, and hunting take a sidearm with them. I'm not sure how many people actually carry inside the big city, that's probably why its called "Concealed Carry."
