I'd have to suggest a North American Arms mini revolver in a zip lock bag. I't small enough to be hidden even in a bikini and the plastic bag would make it waterproof. .22LR is really bad for CC but on the beach and given the extream clothing limitations it's better than a rock, or a knife. It's the role North American mini's are made for.

I would get a versipack (our your favorite fanny pack) and a Glock. After a day at the beach I would detail strip and clean the gun. This sounds like a dumb idea but Glocks were designed with abuse in mind. You can use any gun that you can completely take apart and clean. I would use a Glock (its simple). I'm sure must people would not consider getting the gun wet. Remember it is a tool and look at how and why it was designed. I think we tend to baby our firearms. I know its a $400+ investment and you want to keep it clean and shiny. I was an Instructor in a PD and at first I was appalled at how S&W m36's, used for recruit training, were kept in milk crates.
The guns looked like crap but they worked fine.

Can someone explain to me how a bullet mushrooms inside the barrel?????

    Joe,

That waterproof PDA holder is absofreakinlootly genius !

Concealed in the open...common thing people carry nowdays so shouldn't attract a lot of attention....personal control at all times, even in the water.

    Great Find !

First of all I agree we need to see Lima in her suit before a true answer can be found, and if JD deletes the post he should lose his deletion privilages!

Second I did not see a knife on Ursula!

Third, I thought Miggy was going to reccomend you get a Pit Bull to watch your gun.

If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

You know, we can always hang the gun around the APBT's neck.

Lima, I'm glad you like the idea - now you just need a Kel-Tec.

Apparently the resistance of the water in the barrel is enough to start spreading hollow point bullets. Google "Glock under water" and there are several accounts. Here's one:
