My carry gun is a H&K 9mm comp. My nightstand/home gun is a H&K .45cal, along with his friends; Mr. Bushmaster AR-15 & Ms. Winchester 1300 12 ga.

I keep the GL 27 in the nightstand, and the GL 22 on top of the refrigerator, just in case for those "late night raids".

Another for carry piece. My 226ST with night sights and CT's, comes of last thing - but not on to nightstand. I put it down on floor, pointing ''downrange'' and ready so that an arm dangled down side finds it instantly. More discrete I feel if anyone watching.

Wife's house gun is nearby but not as rapidly accessible.

i own two pistols, a 686 6" 357 and glock 17. Because i live in a thin walled apartment, i use the glock (loaded with 147 gr hydra shoks) for my house gun. The night sights are a big plus too. While its tempting to use the 357 ( i like bigger holes ), the muzzle flash on that sucker is impressive to say the least. Also, the recoil makes quick follow up shots a lot harder compared to my glock. In case of a serious SHTF, i have a loaded 30 rnd mag for my ak-47 that i could slap in if time permitted.

Is the safe door open while you're home? If not, you're gonna look a little silly asking the BG to hang on a sec until you get the door to your GUN SAFE open.....

I live in the country and don't have to worry about neighbors; so the Glock 20, 10mm with night sights. if there is something going on (jail escapee etc) I'll bring "Boomer" (Rem 100, extended mag, pistol grip stock, unrifled slug barrel loaded with 5 000 and 2 slugs) in for the night. Then I can always rely on the dog for protection, 16 year old half blind and deaf, arthritic miniature poodle, yea right

I keep a 18" Rem 870 with unchambered 4x6 Turkey loads on my side, and my better half has a Smith Model 18 on hers. Also nearby is a Ruger mini14 with folding stock. An intruder in the house has all the advantages, and hopefully, the sound of chambering a shotgun shell will get the message across. If not, it would be very hard to miss.

GLOCK 19, 12ga pump & Surefire e1e. I also have a AR-15 within arms reach, but I donít see it as a necessary home defense tool.

Night Stand gun is my Sig P220ST with LazerMax Guide Rod Laser. The gun has Meprolight Night Sights and I keep a SureFire flashlight attached to the rail on the Sig for ultra illumination when needed.

Backup is my Para Ordnance Carry 12 within arms length of the bed. I am planning on attaching a holster to the back of my headboard and keep my Kimber Custom TLE II there if needed.

Last but not least the Winchester Pump in the closet loaded with 00Buck.

Wifey keeps her Ruger Stainless SP-101 in the dresser drawer within arms reach loaded with Federal 180gr. gut busters.....I would hate to be ther recipient of one of those.

You have just described my very next acquisition complete with Meprolights, SureFire X200 and CT Lasergrips instead of your LaserMax. But essentially the same gun. I have already acquired four spare P220 8rd mags which also fit my P245 Sig.
