If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

I would say from reading your posts that you need to switch rigs. If you don't have confidence in your carry rig and weapon it is time to change. Good luck with what ever you decide

TJ, it's a holstered gun, no finger on the trigger, any/all applicable safeties engaged - post #1 referred to a Glock which has 3 by their count.

It's not a case of know your target, or what's beyond it even...

It is 'how much do you trust an inanimate object wrapped in leather without anyone operating it'.

I was just stressing safety..nothing more.. I think your nuts if you would point aweapon purposely at yourself. And that is what you are doing with a shoulder holster.........but other people.. Just a different take.. I love the holster and it is super comfy, and no way to pull or snag the trigger once it is holstered...so maybe I'm just being too anal. Just think of the first time we all carried loaded. I sure we all were nervous at first..

Skystud, I'm just playing Devils Advocado, no offense intended.

You're being naturally cautious, it's very healthy.

It's part of the whole fight/flight mindset.

You know that one show on the outdoor channel on Wednesday night that they are always trying to destroy weapons?

I would like to see them take a half Dozen holstered guns with one in the chamber some with safeties on some off some with hammer down and some locked and cocked and throw them in a cement mixer and see how long if ever any of them would fire. Throw some in unholstered as well!

Guns and Ammo TV, the torture test.

New season just started, write them and suggest that.

I need to get the outdoor network. Up here we just watch people go around and around inside cement mixers.

i'm a wuss when it comes to carrying one in the pipe, especially with a glock (i have 2, but used for HD mainly). i'm not confident enough in my slow/smooth drawing ability to not accidentally grab within the trigger guard. that said, i'm a minority opinion here.

    Question

We all have such an amazing selection of firearms and holster styles to choose from that everybody can find some combination of the two that they feel comfortable with.

    Question:
If you were carrying a firearm in a pocket holster in your front pants pocket and you were sitting down in a chair...would you prevent people from walking in front of you?

Danger! Danger!...Don't walk in front of me!...I have a holstered firearm in my front pants pocket pointed right at your legs!

Would you risk having your holstered firearm blast their kneecaps off all by itself?

The other day I was eating lunch at a MC-DONALDS, a police detective sitting in front of me with his back to me was carrying a cocked and locked 45 in a shoulder holster. I must say looking right into the barrel was not a good feeling. I know it was not going to go off BUT I did move to my left.
