I really hope that those of you that would jump to report a person you saw printing have the same happen to you. I promise, we all print from time to time. We never get called on it because most people aren't paying attention and those that do notice are probably armed as well.

Open carry is legal here although I don't see it too much anymore.

I have seen lumps on sides many times. Often I wonder if it is a firearm or some phone deal. Sometimes it is obvious that it’s a pistol. Printing isn’t against the law so it’s really none of my business.

I smile as long as it’s not a gang banger. If it is a gang banger my hand goes in my pocket.

Calling the authorities won’t resolve anything. There are too few police for such a large area. Individuals around here know they must take care of themselves.

Do you report every person you see behind the wheel of a car?

They might not be properly licensed, you know. People kill with cars much more often than with guns.

    You can't be too safe.

    Just Be Aware

I'd do nothing except to assess the person's appearance and demeanor and keep an eye on them while I was in the vicinity. Same as I would do if I saw a driver on the road who seemed out of the ordinary.

Well if it was a pretty little thing, I might use the excuse of telling her she was printing as a pick-up line. Otherwise I probably wouldn't say anything...Depending on the situation.

Being new to carry I would appreciate someone discreetly telling me if I am printing. I would think anyone new and maybe unaware would feel the same.

    Definitely not me yet...

I dunno, I've never seen a guy carrying, but usually at least offer to hold the door etc... for the gals.

Let it pass, unless they appeared to be a punk or thug, there I go profiling again, their actions would help determine my actions. I would not confront them.

As I said in another thread, it's a dicey situation in this town to point out if someone is printing. Someone in this thread wisely said to size up the individual before taking any action. However, a guy could be in a suit and I would be real reticent to approach him. MYOB seems the wisest move for me.

    Nothing.

If they look like a good guy, the gun is in a holster and not just shoved into the waist band Gangsta' style, then I will not do anything.

But, if they do look thugged out, and criminal like, they will be watched. And if there are more than one, it is time to beat a hasty retreat and inform the nearest authority figure.

I'd do nothing except assess the situation and individual.
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.

Since not every law-abiding citizen looks like me (handsome, sharp dresser, etc ), I would, depending on context and circumstances, either discreetly approach said person and politely inform him his CCW is showing, do nothing but observe him for threatening behavior (as I do anytime I am near anyone out of the ordinary), or, in the very rare case where I believe he is illegally carrying (i.e., obvious gang tattoos and no-holster carry), I would likely alert store security. Tattoos and piercings wouldn't alarm me, as I know several gun owners who look like they ran into an ink truck and then got hit by debris from outer space.

I would mind my own business, unless the person pulled the gun out to use it.
