    They mailed it?? I had to pick mine up in person, show ID and sign a form to prove that I received it.

    yeah a bit different here in SC. I know in NC you have to pick it up in person from the local Sheriff.

    I live in Kansas and it took 58 days from the day I submitted my paperwork at the sheriff's office for the authorization letter to arrive. It arrived on a Saturday, so I had to wait until Tuesday (the DMV is closed on Mondays) to get a temporary ticket. It took another 10 days, which included the Fourth of July, to get the actual card. That was last Thursday. I've been to Walmart, Sears, Olive Garden, and the movies since then. I'm getting used to it.
