Totally uneventful first day carrying concealed
I guess that's the way it should be. I picked up the "plastic blessing" at around nine this morning. After strapping the gun on when I got back to the truck, I headed to the designated first stop (Wally World) and picked up some ammo (no nachos there).
I did a little grocery shopping before heading home, and later headed to the mall and a movie with my wife and son. He's home on leave from the Marines at the moment. We plan on hitting the range tomorrow, where he'll probably kick the old man's butt (he qualified expert).
Having open carried before probably made it easier to conceal. The only problem I had was the wind whipping the cover shirt around too much. I hate to button the thing. I feel too hampered as to easy access of the gun. I suppose I'll learn to deal with that soon enough.
I think I'll use the 1911 tomorrow. I can barely tell the M&P is there.
