    Another interesting day at the hardware store

    Some of you may remember what happened to me being made at the local hwstore and the cops showing up as I was leaving but not stopping me.

    Well, I went back in there for the first time since then today. I was not carrying this time (I know, go ahead and let me have it). I had just been shooting at a range with my new XD (I love that gun!!) and I don't have a IWB for it yet, it was locked in the truck. Anyway, while I was there I was getting another key made for my car-gun safe. The guy was having all kinds of trouble finding a blank that matched finally he asked me what it was for. I told him and the next thing I know we spend the next 30 minutes talking about holsters, ranges and NC laws (you guessed it, he has his CCL as well).
    I told him what happened last time I was there and he said he has to be real careful to not let some of the employees know he carries (they are big time antis I guess,) but the managers know and don't mind at all.

    Anyway, they didn't have the blank but I met a very nice fellow CCL holder.

    As far as a IWB holster for the XD is concerned, I highly reccomend the Max Con V from Gary Brommelend. I have one for my XD 45, and love it. Excellent workmanship, very comfortable. (http://brommelandgunleather.com/products.htm)

    I couldn't resist so I got a 9mm sc with trijicon sights!!

    I'm planning on ordering a holster for it next week, I just have to decide which one first.
