God will get him for that [stealing the car]!

I have to echo everyone else about warning shots: NO!

Whether you draw depends on 1. state law 2. whether your life is in danger.

I personally wouldn't draw over my car, UNLESS my family was in it!
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.

I don't know how much your guys car is worth but i could probably buy quite a few cars with the amount of legal fees paid for firing a warning shot or shooting a guy stealing a 4k car.

Besides, karma is a mean old bugger. The guy that stole my car last monday is currently in jail for a long time(he had warrants out and my stolen car he was driving when pulled over did'nt help)

In Arkansas, it's almost a moot point. We arent allowed to legally go armed in a church and so we would likely not have our handgun when this goober was stealing our car. The gun would probably be "safely" at rest in the car, doing us a world of good.

I can and do carry at church. I am the pastor and it is my place of bussiness, plus my home resides on the same property.
not that i think a car is worth all that hassle

No matter the law, personally I would not take another life over something as simple as material things. I must be in fear for my life before I take a life. When I draw, I must be prepared to take a life.

One exception to the material possessions, and that is my gun. If he gets my gun, I will be in fear for my life.
"Gun Free Zones" is where only criminals carry guns.
