    I passed my conceal carry test.

    Not the test to get a license, but a test for myself to see if I really was concealing it well.

    I wore my .45 1911 to a family barbecue and no one said anything, and pretty much EVERYONE said something when I open carried at the last one, so I know they didnt see it and werent just keeping it to themselves.

    I wore it into the resturant where my brother works and no one said anything.

    And then finally I wore it to another barbecue/poker game and no one said anything.

    The only thing that bothered me was after prolonged sitting it was kind of jabbing into my side, but nothing to bad.

    Congradulations. Now you know you can carry with confidence.

    It's funny. I've had mine for about three weeks now and after reading posts here and on some other forums I still half expect a LEO to tag me on my way out of a store.

    However, I "practiced" for several weeks before it arrived by wearing around the house or by just wearing my holster and mag pouch. I've come to realize pretty much what others have said: If it's hidden at all the public in general don't see a thing. Fellow carriers are most likely the only ones who even might spot you.

    The only thing I worry about is either reaching up for a high shelf or squatting down to reach a lower one. I try to notice who's around and minimize exposure in those cases but otherwise it's very apparent that even significant "printing" will go un-noticed by most people.

    Very few people are looking. You have to be really obvious or really have the gun exposed to get caught. Everyone new to CC goes through this.

    I have the same problem when I carry my .45. It's a big heavy gun which is why my primary carry is a Kahr Arms P9. I can wear that all day and never even feel it.

    I've found that IF by Rudyard Kippling is the true test of whether or not someone should carry a firearm (concealed or otherwise).
    IF you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

    If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
    if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

    If you act like your on the up and up, nobody including Leo's seem to look for a gun.

    You didn't mention what carry rig you have , but there are many
    brands of Quality holsters which incorporate an extra piece of leather
    between the gun and you - to prevent that jabbing.
