    Damage to upolstery?

I've been licensed for about 3 weeks now and carrying around the house to get used to the feel of the holster and mag pouch for a couple of months before that.

I'm noticing some wear on my favorite chair that matches up suspiciously with the butt of my gun when it's in my IWB holster. Even around the house I wear at least a thin cover garment over it.

Have any of you noticed damage to hour home furniture or your car seats?

How do you deal with this?

I'm sorry. I posted this in the wrong section. Please move it to the general CCW discussion.

Yes I have, in my car. Not sure how to fix this yet, but don't wish to take it on and off all the time.

My main upholstery trauma is to my puter chair ........ and before replacing it will probably apply a vinyl patch if needed.

The only other upholstery I worry about is the truck back rest - but usually once seated and belted move rig fwd from 3.30 to 3.0, which also sets it up for a better draw, so no major obvious damage.

My truck has a hole wore into the back of the seat, and through the upholstery.

To avoid ruining my clothes I have linings sewn in to the jackets of my suits. My tailor calls it a "gun patch". It's an extra partial lining to prevent wear and tear on the original jacket lining.

I love it when gun guys post pictures of things in their houses!

A casual shot of a computer chair and in the background we have three rifles and...is that a sword of some kind behind them? LOL

God Bless America for the armed citizen!

Haha - milsurps propped against safe and yeah - a sword. Not unfortunately a quality item- just a repro cavalry deal.

The rifles are two SKS's and a Hakim!

Most of my T-shirts eventualy get holes on my strong side. I have sheepskin seat covers in my truck. If I drop a round on the seat I need a comb to find it.

Boy that dent in the leather chair looks familiar. The car I drive has the same thing in the leather driver's seat.

I would imagine that LEO know to check for that if they have someone step out of their car. Probably another reason to inform LEO in advance of CCW.

Yep, some wear to my computer seat and my car seat...
I don't really worry about it as I'd rather endure the worn seat(s) than death...

Life presents many more concerns to worry about than a worn seat...

    OMO...your worries may vary!
