    List of anti-gun establishments

Has anyone compiled a definitive list of anti-gun establishments? In particular, I'm looking for places in Arizona, but a general list would be good too.

Those kinds of lists are pretty hard to compile... I am looking for a list I saw compiled by NRA of non gun friendly businesses on a national corporate basis, but for the life of me, I can't find it now.

If I find it, I'll post that, but it wasn't state specific.

The closest thing I can find is the NRA's list of anti organizations and actors. If it helps here it is:

I seem to recall a list having been compiled on www.arizonashooting.com. You might want to try a search there.

It is a two faced politically correct list; some are sincere against us,
others have gun toting members, and unfortunately some of those companies cannot be avoided depending on where you live.

Most of the organizations listed don't come out and say they're anti's, they support anti organizations though. Does this make them all out anti? It's a matter of personal desire. An example is AARP, they don't state they are anti but support such groups financially. Do they benefit the "older" generation? Most definitely. Personnaly I didn't join because of their affiliation with other groups.

would be a nice list to compile, even if it was a state to state list.

Vantage West Credit Union in Tucson has signs posted, so I'm considering switching to a different credit union. If there's any place I want to carry, it's the bank. I mean, why do bad guys wait outside banks? Because they know that nearly everyone coming out has some cash on them!

People for the American Way on the list? No Way!!!
Sadly enough yes, they are anti-gun, but they are pro drug legalization (pot). Which I find kinda disturbing, groups that "pick and choose" what they will about our Constitution are really really scary and they can do more harm than any terrorist organization ever could.

    Places to avoid if possible

Places that I know of with "no firearm" or "no weapons" signs in NW PHX area:

    - Bashas grocery stores
    - Arrowhead Towne Center
    - Glendale Airport terminal (lock boxes provided during business hours)
    - Baptist Hospital (PHX)
    - Boswell Hospital (Sun City)

I'm sure there are others but most post signs in such inconspicuous places it is hard to see them! Except for the hospitals, it is almost like they don't want you to see the sign.

Isn't it just a trespass charge if you don't leave if asked to? I am pretty sure that when I lived in PHX it was. That's what the regs. on azccw.com site says.

State or local government/private establishments or events when asked by the operator/sponsor/agent. Most government facilities will provide a location to temporarily store a firearm. Persons who refuse to leave and/or secure their weapon are trespassing and can be cited or arrested for 13-1502A1 (C3M) or 13-1503A (C2M), depending on the venue (peace officers are excepted)

It is trespassing, but why push it and stick around? If I was shopping somewhere and they asked me to leave, I'd leave my cart/basket right there and get the hell out. No reason to risk getting cited and no reason to give the store any further business.

Now, like jaws said, most places that do have signs have very tiny signs. If push ever came to shove and the cops were called, you could be very polite and cooperative and explain that you didn't see the sign in the first place.

Yet another reason why it's a good idea to get in touch with a lawyer and get his card before you start carrying.
