I'm going to be in Richmond this weekend and was wondering if The Showplace Exibit center was off limits to CCW? It is the sight of the Virginia Sportsmen show and was wondering their carry rules.

I believe all the gun shows at the showplace are no-CCW events. You can carry, but it has to be unloaded and they'll put a tie wrap on the trigger or slide.

It's not a gun show realy I don't think more like an outdoor show.
Concealed carry is OK at the Showplace during the Sportsman Show. I go to this show every summer & carry at it!
This is NOT a gun show! The only firearms sold are Black Powder rifles. This show is about gear for hunting.
You will find bows, arrows, archery gear, clothes, boots, tree stands, duck calls, turkey calls, dog accessories, truck accessories....etc...You will also find items for food plot management, seed, tractors, four wheelers....etc. They also have exhibits by Game & Fish & taxidermy businesses. There is a showing of mounted deer & a competition for the best in different categories. They also have a wild turkey exhibit. They used to bring in live deer to show, but since chronic wasting disease & other ailments they have switched to wild cats (puma, Lynx, bobcat). The even have a clown who makes balloon animals for the kiddies.
C&E does a gun show at that facility & they ask that no loaded guns be brought in, but this ain't that!

Awsome show with no troubles.
I went Saturday, man was it crowded! Found a few interesting items & got a few ideas that I'm going to try.
Admission seems to go up a dollar each year! Last year I think it was $8, this year $9!
