Yes, I have drawn my firearm to stop a threat.
Yes, I have had to fire my firearm to end a situation.
I know someone who has drawn their firearm.
I know someone who had to fired their CCW.
NO, thank God I have never been put in that situation.

Stand up for what's right..... Even if you stand alone.
I lifted up the front of my shirt to reveal my IWB once to a punk in an alley with a piece of ri bar in his hand.
That's the extent of my 'use'.
I've had to pull my weapon and was in the act of taking the slack out of the trigger when the situation changed, and no shots were needed.

Had to twice......both times shook me up a little.
NEVER want to have to again.

A buddy of mine was almost car jacked. He very conspicuoly moved his revolver from above his visor to his lap. They all ran.

Many years ago in South Flordia a kid pulled a knife on me at my front door. I pulled my gun .... he saw his mistake and ran away...no shots fire thank God....
I had to show my pistol once at my front door late at night when a couple of "repro" guys showed up pounding on my door and trying to push past me suppossedly looking for someone else... cooled them down fast.
Never had to produce my concealed pistol (yet), thank God. But 33 years ago, I pulled an empty replica black-powder Colt 1861 Navy from my floorboard and pointed it at an on-coming car full of punks with baseball bats to prevent them from stomping the crap out of me and my buddy....

Those taxidermied bear are the worst kind. Just imagine how P.O.ed they must be at what happened to them!![]()
Never had to use a concealed weapon as a civilian. A guy pointed a gun at me once when in the Coast Guard, but I could tell he was simple minded and sternly told him to put the gun down before someone got hurt and he did just that. Even if the guy was slightly retarded, it was a dangerous situation. I was not armed at the time. I know afterward when I thought about it, it scared the crap out of me. But it ended ok.

I've not had to draw or show my CCW, but I did show the barrel end of my USP on a couple of people that were in my closed- in porch one morning while I was on night shift...woke up to hear some muffled talking and shadows moving in my closed-in porch....being half asleep, I freaked, grabbed my USP, ran out the front of the house and around to see my gate opened...I came up from behind screaming at them...the FREAKED!.....turns out, they were city utility contractors doing land surveys on the neighborhood and instead ringing the door bell and asking to get in the backyard...the jumped my privacy fence and helped themselves into the house...they claimed they thought it was just a porch....its carpeted and has a couch and end table ...its just a lil room to hang out in and smoke cigars in. Pulled an 8" skinner once on three inner city toughs. They did not want to dance. Had my hand on my Sig three months ago when another urban tough decided he had seen enough as well. Not a good feeling in either case. Fortunately, all is well in the universe.
I know, I know, you are smarter than me..just ask you..
I had to fire on 4 mexican gang bangers that I threw out of my club earlier that night. They shot first, I aimed better. It wasn't fun.
