Can't go wrong with a SIG....the P239 conceals better than the P229 IMO, being single-stacked.

    Congrats...

    on two fronts...
On the new permit, and on the wife wanting you to leave a gun at home...that leaves an opening for another purchase...maybe you should leave 2-3 guns at home in various rooms????

Make sure that you go to China-Mart to validate the permit!

Congrats on your permit. Carry in good health and avoid trouble if you can.

Most people make the mistake of trying to carry a full size gun before they are use to it. Based on your list, I would choose the Sig 239 and you can always carry more than one.

Almost nothing anywhere near "full size" is as concealable as a 1911. You may choose another gun for higher capacity or personal preference, but not for concealability.

I have owned Sig 239, 229 and 1911. The 1911's are much slimmer than even the single-stack Sig.

The rubber grips on my Sigs were also very "tacky." They would readily "grab" shirts, jackets, etc. If you decide to carry one, smoother stocks/grips might be in order.

    Congrats and be safe.

Sig 239 is nice and easy to conceal. Good luck with your purchase.
