Is it legal to CC in National Forests?
I have a NF nearby that allows hunting, wich is regulated by the state(GA), but I cant find anything on CCW in NF. Anyone have any info or experience?

To my knowledge, and I am not an attorney, but it is not illegal to carry concealed in a National Forest under the same federal laws as it is in a National Park.
To my understanding it is up to each state that has a National Forest as to whether ccw is allowed or not.
For example, I belive it is legal to carry concealed while in Mark Twain National Forest in the state of Missouri under Missouri's ccw law.
If anyone has any more specific details, of course, feel free to correct me or chime in.

Check the U.S. Forest Service web site.
Here is a previous thread, also.

It is legal to carry in a NF under your Georgia CCW, but remember that Visitor Centers or Ranger Stations are federal buildings and thus prohibited! http://www.handgunlaw.us/

So basically if you have a CHL/CCW you're good to go.
Cased Gun Laws: As the name implies, this law requires that all firearms on National Forest be unloaded and kept in a case. Virginia and West Virginia have similar “cased gun laws”. In order to allow hunting, these laws make an exception.
* It is legal to have loaded firearms on National Forest during the authorized general firearms and muzzle loading gun seasons for bear, deer, grouse, pheasant, quail, rabbit, raccoon, squirrel, turkey, or waterfowl. This exception is very specific and applies only during the period when it is legal to take these listed species and doesn’t include carrying the loaded weapons in a vehicle.
* Because hunting on Sunday is prohibited, carrying a loaded gun on National Forest is not legal on Sunday even if it is the Sunday in the middle of the general firearms deer season.
* The second exception to this law allows people with a concealed weapon permit to carry a loaded, concealed, handgun either on their person or in their vehicle while on National Forest
. This does not apply if the person is engaged in a primitive weapons season or chase only season.
* People muzzle loading or bow hunting may carry a concealed weapon as long as they possess a concealed weapon permit.
Give me enough time and I'll find it in the va leg code too.
Lol - at any rate you'll know about it in VA for sure after October 1st...doing my 4 day hike starting on Sept 28th in GWNF. So if you see my mug in the paper stating I'm in the gray bar hotel....you'll know.

"Weapons are not allowed on national forest lands outside of hunting seasons. ( See State Game Regulations.) Firearm ranges are the exception."
Hunted their all my life and been stoped while carrying during hunting season.

It does not fall under the National Park regs, it is under the Department of the Interior. It is up to your state.

Yes it is legal as long as your state law does not preclude you from doing so.
