    CCW in South Carolina

How long have you guys in SC had to wait for your CCW? I know they have 90 days but do they usually take that long? I have talked to a few people and they all said the longest wait was 2 months.

Mine was in the mid 70 days IIRC... (74 or 75 I think it was)

Typically many are nearer the end of the 90 days though I am told. At least the norm is at least 60 or more days.

For SC everyone told me to expect the full 90 days. Mine was exactly 60 calendar days mailbox to mailbox.

Supposedly my Hew Hampshire one was supposed to take two weeks. So far it has been over 6 weeks but the lady said I could expect it within the next two weeks. :(

My SC took close to 90 days, when I got mine, they had checked female not male. I called SLED, the next day, and talked to a very helpful lady, who I promptly thanked for the sex change After she stopped laughing, she told me I'd have a replacement in the mail, shortly, I got it in 2 days. As for my NH, it took 2 weeks to the day. BTW doesn't SC have reciprocity with FL now??

Darn. I was hoping my wait wouldnt be long. It seems that whenever the government wants somthing done its done. When the law abiding individuals NEED somthing it can wait. Oh well, at least I will be getting my CCW soon. In the mean time, ill spend more time at the range.

Not that I know of. It is not listed on SLED's site.

    RECIPROCITY

Believe it or not, I was told by my CWP instructor that they had signed an agreement with Florida but yet, nothing official has ever been announced nor posted. He was told this by SLED themselves. And he is not one to pass on erroneous information either. What happened to it, I dunno...

I do know that about that time SLED started fighting the bill that would take the reciprocity agreements out of its hands. One would think they would have had incentive to add another state or two to prove they were doing their job but yet nothing has come about it.

I am very much surprised that Louisiana is on the list, but mississippi and alabama are not. Florida would be nice, I have also been told by my CCW instructor that more states are coming, just a matter of time.
