Mostly, I've seen t.v. guns that rattle when drawn, like a bag full of bottle caps!

You have to wonder why the shows' creators go so far as to order foley artists to ADD sounds that guns would NEVER EVEN MAKE. To, uh, make it seem more "real"?

As a side note, I had to laugh at CSI the other day when it showed a guy shooting a handgun and the scene cut to a rifle bullet zipping through ballistic gelatin.

I think that on the episode where Speed is killed off, you get a glimpse the lab report on the guns used in the shootout and it also identifies H's as a 229.

that, and it sure lookes like one.

In one of my favorite series, Doctor Who, the character Capt. Jack Harkness (time traveler from the 51st century)carries an old school .38 revolver in contrast to all the fancy laser guns the BGs have.

The agent on "Burn Notice" carrys a SIG. Someone sabotaged it recently. He managed to get a shot off after repairing it with a hair pin. Gotta luv those sneaky pete spy shows.

in most tv shows and movies they don't use rubber duckies. they actualy use airsoft repilicas which cost less and have moving parts(not to mention its real easy on the props section to make "laser guns" and such)

I don't watch network TV shows, or much at all for that matter on broadcast networks. Weather, football and basketball (college) sums it up. Now, Future Weapons on cable, you get the full gamut of neat things. My wife does not like to watch shows with me anyway, as I do point out what they carry, when the slide is locked back and they keep shooting, etc. Realism is better.
I know, I know, you are smarter than me..just ask you..
