    Carried for the first time

I spent some time in 'town' yesterday. Basically for those of us who live in Rural Alaska town is Palmer/Wasilla/Anchorage... or anything bigger than 300 people.

Anyway, I spent about an hour at the gun shop talking shop with the owner about laws and carrying and then purchased an IWB holster and carried for the rest of the day. Now that I have an appropriate holster and can adequately conceal my XD I will be carrying regularly.

Congrats on first time carry. If you're ever here in Anchorage, you should definitely check out Great Northern Guns on Tudor Road. They have great selection, and pretty reasonable prices.

Doing a quick Google Maps search:
1350 S Seward Meridian Pkwy, Wasilla or 16 minutes away

He does not get the approved stamp!

And careful about chairs with armrests. your girth has increased and you really don't want your gun doing a James Bond Ejection Seat scene at the doctor's office.

What kind of holster did you get? Is it comfortable?

I find that I'm very picky about IWB holsters, so I'm just curous.

Over 3 hours away, on good roads. Now that old man Winter has set in and temps will be dropping below Zero and Snow/Ice will cover the windy mountain roads... almost 5 hours....
