One of the few instances in which a no-gun policy is defensible.

I don't recall signing anything to that effect...

Nope, had to disarm there too.

(Ok, they weren't *supposed* to be killer robots, but you know somebody's going to mod one of these things out in the field.)

Nope, the only thing I signed on to was obeying forum rules. Try as I might to get that simple mission accomplished, sometimes it's tough...

Sadly, I have to go into Maryland for part of my territory. Needless to say, it's my least favorite route since I have to leave the gun/ammo at home.

If I sign something, I agree to what I'm signing and I keep to it.(Or I dont sign it)

I was never considering not abiding by the rules once I read the agreement. However, I was surprised how much it felt odd to disarm. I rarely go to the post office. I rarely go to a sporting event at a stadium. So taking off the gun for work felt strange.

My job is one of the most important ways I protect my family (keeping us out of cardboard boxes ) so it is an easy decision to disarm for the job. I just was just caught off guard.

Some of us learned exactly that in... wait for it... grammar school.

I cant carry a gun at work as there is a rather large sign saying no personal weapons. But my safe space is by the Abrams tanks.

I can't carry at work, as I work at a chemical plant. I park right outside the building my lab is in however, so my firearm stays secured in my vehicle about 50 feet from the front door. I am, however, allowed to carry my knife, flashlight, metal pens, and edc bag into the facility. It's a compromise. As said above, it keeps my family sheltered and provides for our needs.

I was very fortunate during most of my adult life. I was a cop for 27 years and was required to carry. After I retired I went to work in a gunshop. They encouraged me to carry. I have my state carry permit and LEOSA card and keep them up to date so I'm in pretty good shape plus I don't go on federal property including post offices.

Did you say that with your best Sean Connery accent?

I love that movie. Sean Connery at his handsomest.
