Wouldn't it be better to just hang up more "No Guns" signs to protect people?

Uh, I trust everyone gets the sarcasm.

I'm with sixto and others, this could do good, but it could also turn really ugly.
What happens when a student overpowers a teacher and takes their weapon?
And it makes me cringe just to think what the spin from the media would be like:
"It wasn't the students fault, he/she just got made and the gun practically flew into his/her hand and started firing!!!" or "The teacher would have only recieved a severe beating" or "The student was not charged, as it was the victims fault for having a gun in the first place".

always a hot topic, i cant help but think of the cleveland shooting across frm fbi headquarters and just down the street for the cleveland pd. still by the time anyone gets to the school the perp had already done himself. oops, but isnt that what is really going to happen when a terrorist targets a school, by the time help arrives it will be all over except for the wailing, moaning, and clean up.

I voted but I'm starting to become frustrated with the open endedness of these polls.

I would like to see teachers and students that are legally able to carry be given the right to do so.

I'm not for completely opening the right to any teacher. I also think that they should be required to take further training beyond a basic handgun course. Force on Force would be a must.

Todays poll is "Do you think ex vice president Al Gore deserves the Nobel peace prize?" of coarse I said no, since there was no H E double L no button.

(In best Forrest Gump voice) Al Gore is my hero. He has saved the world from evil Bushies and technological demonic multi-national corporations. (voice off)

I, too, voted 'no' since there wasn't a button for hysterical laughter at how ludicrous this is.
