My birthday is this week…
And my wife gave me the cutest little back up gun
. She gave me a NAA .22 LR & WMAG Mini-Revolver. It is a fun gun to shoot and so small that it can get lost among my pocket change!
When I took it to the range today I discovered that it can not be aimed; every time I tried I shot really low at 5 yards. But when I just pointed from the hip 4 out of every 5 went in the red “heart” of a man sized target. At 7 yards I could keep all shots in the eight ring, and at 15 yards I could keep all shots on paper. Grouping was the same with the long rifle and the magnum rounds.
I would not want to have to use it to fend off someone at any distance, but close up it seems that it will do the job. Plus I can carry it in places I can not even think of having my G19. This little Mini can hide in just my sock!
Now I am wondering about getting me one of those belt buckle holsters for it, that way I can wear it next to my CCW Badge!

I got the same gun yesterday with the 1 5/8" barrel. Took it to the range today and the 22 LR shoots great (I'm still a lousy aim), but the 22 Mag goes "click," no bang! So I guess it goes back for some warranty work. I'm sure it will be fine.
I've already ordered the cross-draw holster and bigger grips. The cross-draw holster is perfect for driving in my car. The bigger wooden grips should improve my aim (with practice, of course).
Now I need to find the camera and take some pictures of my new friends!

Randy,
I was looking on the NAA forum. Someone said they had issues with 22mag, but tried CCI-mag and it worked. it might be ammo and not your gun.
Scrvoy,
happy b-day. congrats on the cool gun. keep us posted on how it holds up.
I have been thinking of one of these guns.

Just a friendly B'Day reminder that any time you "pocket carry" any firearm it should always be the only item in that pocket.
Thank you, and just so you know, if it is in my pocket it is the only thing in that pocket.

I'm using CCI 22 Mini-Mag HP. I'll call them on Monday and take it from there. It would be nice if it was something simple as the ammo.
This is a really nice little gun. My happy family is a S&W Sigma 9mm, a Walther PPS 9mm, and this NAA Mini. I paid about $250 out the door for the mini with 2 cylinders. I know NAA will stand behind their product so this malfunction doesn't worry me a bit! (Other than "Drats! I wanted to carry it! Not send it back right away.")
In lieu of pictures, here's a link to their web page (mine is the second one with the longer (1 5/8") barrell.

What a coincidence...your birthday and buy a new gun day fall on the SAME day...I hope you proudly celebrate both...
