OR teacher on NPR
NPR interviewed Shirley Katz, the Oregon English teacher seeking to carry at her public school.
I was actually rather surprised to hear this on NPR (what can I say, I spy). Just an interview, but it seemed mostly fair.
They welcome comments and will read some of them on air. I'm going to write them encouraging more stories like this, I invite you all to do the same.

I read somewhere the schools grand plan for protecting staff and students. They recommend don't look an assailant in the eye and give them what they want. What if what they want is your life? If this is the best that school can come up with they should be made to buy this teacher a gun and ammo. What a stupid plan that is.

worse than not seeing the bullit coming how is the teacher going to protect my daughter if he/she is not looking and running towards the guy with the gun?
If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

I thought you were supposed to be a good witness. How you gonna' do that if you don't look at 'em?
