ccw and use of public restrooms
What do you do in a public restroom that has stalls? Both from a tactical and safety stand point when you have to drop your draws. This is not a joke everyone at some point has to use a public restroom and bad things sometimes happen in a public restroom. If you carry IWB/OWB etc........... what stall would you use and why?

OWB, take the gun out of the holster, drop the drawers, put it in the "safety pouch" that's formed by the pants between my legs. Same with IWB.
I'm not going to leave my gun on the side of my pants right next to the wall for somebody to grab at it.
As far as urinals, I don't use them. I'll use a stall where when I leave I'm facing the restroom, and there's no opportunity for somebody to grab my gun when I'm checking the plubminb.

Thats because, like it or not, at some point in time we'll all have to do it...

Last stall always. If I'm going to be there for a bit, I use the waistband of my Haynes to cover the butt of the pistol...away from whatever is on the floor and from prying eyes.

I ran into this situation the yesteday at a kiddie carnival at the local fairgrounds. I went into the mens room I only had to urinate but I had on buttonfly jeans (wifes mistake) I had my P32 at 1 o clock IWB. I prob would not have given much thought except I knew the other guy in the room using the trough he is a secret service agent and had already spotted his slightly conceled handgun. Although I know him well and we have discussed guns on many occasions I just went into a stall thinking that it would avoid the fumbling of trying to keep it covered. Did my business and left he knew I was carrying but trying to avoid the conversation.

Starbucks,Dunkin Donuts both usually have "one holers" so you can put gun wherever you want.

I had an interesting visit to the men's room. I also only use the stalls when I am carrying. I was at a local movie theater. When I sat down to do my business, I looked down to make sure my weapon wasn't showing to the stall next door. To my surprise, the high gloss tile floor, with the lighting, was acting just like a mirror. Not only could I see the refection of the guy on the pot in the next stall, I'm sure he could see me and my weapon as well.

Unbutton the flap on my overalls, squat, pinch, paper, and button.
May have to have the old lady remove the buttons and replace with Velcro.

HELGA: Where are you going?
HAGAR: To sign a peace treaty with the King of England.
HELGA: Then why take all those weapons?
HAGAR: First we gotta negotiate...
