Moved From NC to SC...what to do for Concealed Carry Permit
Good Day,
I have moved from Charlotte, NC to Fort Mill SC. Just a few miles over the border. I currently have my Concealed Carry for NC and a NC Drivers License.
I am going to have to get a SC drivers License and I am wondering what will happen with my Concealed Carry for NC. Is it immediately voided when I get a SC Drivers License?
Do I have to start from Scratch in SC with new classes from SLED?
If so that's no big deal, I just don't want to be without a Concealed Carry Permit.
Thanks for any advice

Yep, you need to get a SC permit. Join GrassRoots GunRights of SC while you're at it. www.scfirearms.org They've got a list of instructors on the site in addition to other good info.

almost forgot.
After you get your SC ccw you really can't come south.
Ga and Fla won't recognize it.

GA yes, FL no, as Florida doesn't recognize non-resident permit (which your NH permit would be).

Now that FL requires you to shoot one bullet for your CWP shouldn't that be enough for SLED to recognize FL CWP's? :)

But florida will give you a non res permit.... that makes no sense lol.
this is from the cwp course I might be taking..:
With a South Carolina Permit you will be able to carry in the following states:
(NOTE: This course is also accepted as training to get a CWP for the state of Florida. You do not have to be a Florida resident to get a Florida permit. Call or email me for details.)
NORTH CAROLINA INDIANA
TENNESSEE MISSOURI
ARKANSAS OKLAHOMA
LOUISIANA ARIZONA
TEXAS UTAH
ALASKA IDAHO
OHIO MONTANA
MICHIGAN NEW MEXICO
WYOMING SOUTH DAKOTA
VIRGINIA VERMONT
KENTUCKY
( Note: Once you get your S.C. CWP you can apply for a New Hampshire non-resident permit for only $20 and add Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi and New Hampshire to the list. These application forms will be available in class for those who wish to have one.)
Florida - The S.C. CWP training is accepted by the state of Florida to receive a Florida CWP . Florida requires US citizenship but not a Florida residency. You can make a copy of your SLED CWP certification application which you receive after course completion to apply. With a Florida CWP you can add: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Colorado, Delaware, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania to your state carry list. Information on how to apply will be given in class for those interested. Go to http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us to request a free Florida CWP application packet.
