Cooking With Heat: Packing Heat While You BBQ Your Meat

How many of you carry while outdoors in your front or back yard? I am refering to BBQ in particular, although I know of people in my city that even pack heat while mowing the yard. I plan to post cook out pics later. Feel free to post CCW cook out pics. I am planning to do expansion and ballistics testing on fresh whole picnic hams.

I believe OpenCarry.com has a fun story about a BBQ in Northern VA and having the cops show up. One of the officers even joined the forum. haha

Here in northern AZ seeing people packing OC is pretty common. Hell, I've seen neighbors OC while BBQing in my apartment complex. They always get a wave.

If I am outside of the house, there is a gun on my person. If the BBQ is in the backyard I may open carry- especially if I have something cool to show off. In fact, I'm having a couple of friends over for grilled steaks this weekend for that very reason.

Depending on who's attending the BBQ I either OC or CCW.

One thing is certain, I have a gun, if not two, on me from the time I get dressed until I get naked. If it's an OC BBQ then it's to "show off" a gun and holster.

I think my next BBQ Gun may be a Colt New Service stamped "US Property" built in 1912. I'll have to call someone for a "suitable" holster.

When I'm awake and not in the shower, I carry. At all other times, I keep a pistol in reach.

Even if I'm not carrying inside home, I strap one on to go out and BBQ or mow the lawn.

If I'm outside I have it on, and if inside out of the shower, I have it on.

+1 on ALWAYS having a gun, ...if not in the shower, pool or hot tub.

I happened to be in "Condition White" in the picture but the backups were on guard.

Yep, I still carry. The back of our townhouse faces the woods, and sometimes strange people walk out of them.
