Hey, does the BG wanting to commit a crime get to the door and think "Oh, It's not legal for me to carry here - I guess I'll have to go somewhere else to rob, kill or whatever."? Of course not. He's gonna do it wherever - so you and I should be able to be prepared "legally" to defend ourself s too.

If I ever decided to leave Arizona, Texas would be high on the list.

You hit the nail on the head. What's a weapons charge on top of a life sentence? Whoops! That's another problem. A life sentence doesn't mean life. Since the justice system can't or won't protect us, there's only one solution. I think that the TX governor realizes that.

And I thought Florida had some great laws…. The good news is Florida usually follow Texas’s ideas.

The ideas the Gov. expressed are good but it's an old story, with a few flaws......

Churches and hospitals in Texas are only off limits if they have been posted with a legal 30-06 signs.

It would be nice to carry everywhere, but I sure don't see it happening anytime soon.

Could this be a ploy to recover from his endorsement of Guilliani???

    Rick Perry for President!

Darn near enough reason to move to Texas!

Unfortunately for Perry, quite a few Texans have learned that not all the words that leave his mouth can be believed.

For those of you in other states, you also need to know that, in Texas, the governor has very limited power. It is the Lieutenant Governor who swings the weight.
The Edge ... there's no honest way to describe it. The only ones who know where it is have gone over.

Well, this is one issue only.

However, unless they repeal the section relating to 30.06 or specifically put language in the law forbidding them to post the 30.06 signage on these places it still won't matter.

If the 30.06 sign is posted, it will still be off limits
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
