FWIW, I think it would be a better idea if your GF *showed* her.

As others have said, I don't have a lot of confidence that she did everything in order to make it ready to go 'bang', and on the off chance that she did, I certainly don't have a lot of confidence she unloaded it.

I just talked to my GF about her friend. She told me that the friend finally told her hubby what happened, first thing he did was check the pistol (everything was safe) and asked if she was ok and blah, blah, blah. I still haven't heard word from them about going to the range yet so I figured, eh....that's their problem. Besides, I have another friend who doesn't have any firearms in the house is EAGER to come to the range with me. Wants to shoot different calibers and pistols before she and her husband decide on which one to get for home defense. Now that will not be time wasted in my eye.

Glad to hear she told her husband and he checked the firearm.

As for the range invite, I wouldn't sweat it. In some ways I think you'd be better off pushing them towards a personal instructor or a class anyway.

Good advice. Without some sort of experienced instruction, they could end up a statistic in one of Sarah Brady's rants.

Encourage them to visit some of the good guys at the local range.

Well, I don't know. That's if the wife allows it.
