Disclosure to LEO?

So I know that CT does not require me to disclose a CCW to a LEO on a traffic stop or other encounter.

My wife was getting fingerprinted today for her permit at the local PD, and I was getting printed for a VA non-resident permit.

I asked the officer that even though disclosure was not required by law, what would he (and most other LEO's) prefer.

He stated that he would prefer that I have hands on the wheel, disclose, and ask how he wants me to proceed.

So, my question is, knowing the law here in CT and the officers statement, what would your actions be?

Thanks,

Mike

The dislose or not thread is the one I was thinking mainly of as it is the exact same question that you'r asking. It went badly and was closed.

Rather than reopen that can of worms again, I am going to leave this closed...for now.

I would suggest reading the threads linked above, if you feel you still need more information PM me and I will reopen this thread, however there is a good amount of data on the issue.
