Never heard of it. In FL my DD214 was all I needed for training. They may just be applying for you which is pointless. Really seems like a scam to me. I wouldn't hand my DD 214 to just anyone with the info it contains.

Looks like they will sell you a guide to applying for a Florida CWFL for $5.

Or, you could get the same information FREE from http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/index.html

The fee is the same as the Florida CWFL, and the list of reciprocity states matches.

    Its a scam.

Battle Plan (n) - a list of things that aren't going to happen if you are attacked.
Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

You don't need the book. Florida will accept the DD214 as proof of training as will several other states. You can go to the following and find which states do so:

+1 I would agree it's a scam, the fee's are the same as a FL permit, someone is just putting 5 dollars (plus shipping and handling) in their pocket, for calling FL and giving them your address.

Horrible website, someone should direct them to a spell checker. Sounds to me like you pay $5 for a pamphlet on where to send a request for a Florida permit.

Also, if you are a little low on funds you can wait for your permit an extra 3 or 4 weeks. Electronic fingerprints are $42. "Old fashioned" ink take longer but are only $5. As mentioned, all paperwork is avaiable free online or at virtually any sheriff's office.

The permit is actually $75. They come up with $117 by adding in the $42 for electronic prints.

In NC the Sheriff issues the Conceled Carrry Permits. I sure wouldn't want to pull out an internet issued card when asked for my permit.
