I also carry with one in the chamber...another round. I suspect that those that have had to use a weapon do so under tremendous stress. I have never heard or read of a round going off if dropped or miss handled...only from someone putting their finger on the trigger at the wrong time.

Actually, his shirt got caught between the gun and the IWB holster, and his shirt ended up pulling the trigger. The other guy was cleaning his gun, and must have got distracted. With a Glock, you have to pull the trigger in order to remove the slide to clean it, so you better be sure it's not loaded.

I think the key here it to keep it holstered as much as you can, so the trigger is always covered, and of course keep your finger, and anything else out of the way.

I'm looking for a good paddle style holster that I can just remove the entire holster, rather than having to handle the gun 10 times a day.

Then I will carry it condition 0.

OK - I'm carrying chambered now. I have seen the light.

I've have ordered a Galco paddle style holster for my Glock 26, so I don't have to mess around in my car unholstering and holstering at every no gun zone that I visit every day. This way the gun always stays in the holster when it it's being removed from my person, resulting in a lot less handing of the gun.
