I just purchased a Kahr PM40. I am still getting used to the weapon and do not carry it with one in the chamber (however it is my back-up). I carry it in a quality pocket holster, and will transition to "5+1" soon. Are there any reasons NOT to carry a Kahr PM40 with one chambered?

    Why Wouldn't U Carry Chambered

If you have to draw your firearm , you remembering too cycle the slide is a fine motor skill you'll loose in a violent attack or confrontation . It takes too much time and precious seconds to do so and might cost you your life . Just my opinion , GOOD LUCK

OMG, without question, every time, I carry with a round in the chamber!

I'm sure the "why" has already been covered so I won't get all redundant. The gun's not ready to fire if there's no round in the chamber, and I might not be able to do it in time if I wait.

Ditto for his 'other brother' Barney.
If I lived in Mayberry, in the 1950s, might not have it chambered.

    Always.

Read the Civilian Combat Stats thread, less than 4 seconds start to finish.

Reading in Concealed Carry mag last night, they state you will not have time for a 2 handed aim, so you probably will not have time to work the action either.

Always. If I get caught in condition white my off hand will probably be occupied with other things that would prevent me from chambering a round.
