of course legally i can carry on campus. or store my gun loaded in my car on campus. but i wont.
i dont think im putting any kind of kick my sign on my back
im not breaking the rules and not planning on it.
all im doing is showing that there are responsible gun owners out there that want to follow the rules.
the university campus police ppl know me. they know i have a gun. they know i bring it onto campus at least 3 times a week..
cuz im a range officer at our on campus range.
we are very very very lucky to have it. so keep on very good terms with them to insure we dont loose it.

Now you mention that you have some special arrangement with the university? According to statute, you CANNOT carry on campus unless you are LEO,in which case you are exempt from the CPL statute. An on campus range???Are you "lucky " to have it or in violation of law?Last time I was involved, we went off campus for range time as a range on campus was illegal (Macomb Co. CC Criminal Justice Academy).

Check the back of your license. It say that you cannot carry in a classroom or dormitory of a college or university. The student center, parking lot, deans office, etc, are all perfectly legal.

+1 on getting a Center of Mass Gun Safe. I bought two that are keyed the same.
    ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

judgement to keep himself out of situations that would require a display of his
    superior skills."

yep, not to mention, we are not 'carrying' on campus. guns have to be transported to and from range just as if you didnt have you license.
although technically during out idpa stuff we do conceal.. i think thats different though since its at a range-- yet our range is also a 'classroom' we do have air rifle and archery classes held down there.
anyways. no were not violating any laws and we are extremely lucky.
looks like our idpa stuff will be starting this week too. hurray

I actually have a hidden compartment in my truck that unless you really know the truck well you will never find. Not to mention you have to know how to work the panel to get access to the compartment.
