    Thumbs up I've learned that...

Quite simply, in regards to guns, CCW and personal defense and without any added diatribe, fill in the blank.

I've learned that it's better to carry a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Training means learning the rules. Experience means learning the exceptions.

I've learned that you have to carry 24-7 or guess right.

    I like the above too.

I've learned that control of how I treat and react to other peoples actions is one of the greatest disciplines of ccw.

I can only carry either a weapon or my prideful attitude, but not both.

I've learned that the better part of valor is often to make a hasty retreat and live to be a good witness. And that doesn't make you any less of "a man". It makes you a smart and savvy CCW'er.

I've learned to always carry where legal and never tell anyone other than immediate family that I am!

I have learned to be "discrete" and to assume the risk of carrying.

I've learned that the media will manipulate and fabricate the details of any given set of circumstances to suit their agenda, be it liberal or conservative, and that panic and mob mentality are the tools of tyrants and thieves.

I have learned that the onus of constant vigil against those that would inveigle and mislead from truth is on every one of us, lest we repeat the harshest lessons learnt upon the blood and tears of our those that precede us and entreaty us to never lose sight of the great responsibility that freedom lays upon each person's shoulders.

I've learned that situations can totally change in less than a second, from just another normal day to immediate threat in front of me, and if I haven't prepared beforehand, I'm done.

I've learned that I - and only I - am responsible for my life / actions / safety / well-being / etc, and to act accordingly always.
