I find the best spot for my 9mm is at the 2 o'clock. It hides it the long butt best

    It's not OK in KY:
A concealed firearm or other deadly weapon SHALL NOT be carried in the following places:

    Police station or sheriff's office.

    Detention facility, prison or jail.
America: Your government is not ignoring you, it's insulting you.

The Bill of Rights: Void where prohibited by law.

1- Facility used primarily for law enforcement operations or administration without the written consent of the chief administrator.
2 - detension facility, prison, or jail

+1 for carrying at 3 o'clock. As long as you are at least as thick as your grip is long, you're good.

I just discovered this week that the best place for my carry gun is 2 o'clock as well. I used to put it right at 12 o'clock and when I switched, I found it is WAY more comfortable at 2, and I can carry longer without it becoming an annoyance. PLUS, it conceals better!

That might be, but I am not going to risk it. Besides, at my local PD they share a building with the court.

As a side note: My brother, years before the current CPL system, walked into the Grand Rapids MI PB to get a S&W .357 "safety Inspected" with it out in the open in his hand. Did not take but a few seconds for him to be surounded by drawn guns... Scared the s____ out of him....

I agree with this while walking. It is, however, not so comfortable while sitting. My "tool shed" gets in the way.

    It's a no-no in OH.
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.

How long is the barrel of the guns you guys carry at 2:00? My 5 and 4 inch barrels both jab the heck out of me when I sit down.

Also, maybe it's my7 chubby build, but the handle of my 1911 sticks out when I wear it from 12:00 to 12:00. 8:30 to 9:00 (I;m a lefty) works best but it still sticks out and where it sticks out noone is goingto think is cell phone.

I think the funny part was turning red... I was accused of that too when I've been "outed"!

I also prefer 2:00. I do notice that grip on my XD SC does stick out a bit but the are completely clueless. (that is why they are )

I do have some concern as to muzzle coverage when I am seated...
