LRS 40:1378.3 (2)(a)
Lousiana application states: Upon issuance of your concealed handgun permit, your name, address, and date of birth will become public record.
25 M.R.S.A. & 2006
The issuing authority shall make a permanent record of each permit to carry concealed firearms in a suitable book or file for that purpose. The record shall include the information contained in the permit itself and shall be available for public inspection.
Who keeps all of the information I am required to submit to obtain a permit and is it a public record?
A listing of all applicants and permit holders along with pertinent information obtained in processing your application will be maintained by the Nebraska State Patrol. This information is confidential and is not a public record. It will be made available only to any federal, state, or local law enforcement agency upon request. The Nebraska State Patrol will electronically transmit information concerning permit status to the Department of Motor Vehicles to be contained on the drivers license abstract.
Oregon Permit Application states its Public-records

In Vermont there are no licenses required, so there are no records to publicize.

Texas, I believe this is correct,
Prior to Sept 2007 records were public if requested based on some information that had to be provided.
After Sept 2007, these records are no longer public.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Private, but available to LE. The statute making it so sunsets in 2011 if not re-enacted though.....

I believe Kentucky is private except for LEO..

Virginia is now private, thanks in part to the Roanoke fiasco. The whole list is not available anymore, but anyone can go to the county courthouse, pay a research fee, and lookup/confirm whether or not an indivual has a CCW permit from the court.

Missouri - private. It is tied to your driver's license information so if an LEO runs you license it will show the ccw, too.

So, they changed this? That's good. When I lived in FL, I remember a news channel doing a piece on CCW then mentioning they had a link to every FL CCW permit holder. It didn't stay up long, but it was scary. My name AND address was on it. Nice way to provide a shopping list for criminals. I remember Titusville was having problems with break ins where they were specifically looking for firearms.

Indiana is public and I'm not aware of any organized attempt to change this. I wish there was. I would write and donate.
HELGA: Where are you going?
HAGAR: To sign a peace treaty with the King of England.
HELGA: Then why take all those weapons?
HAGAR: First we gotta negotiate...
