Texas, I believe this is correct,

Prior to Sept 2007 records were public if requested based on some information that had to be provided.

After Sept 2007, these records are no longer public.

I believe Kentucky is private except for LEO..

Virginia is now private, thanks in part to the Roanoke fiasco. The whole list is not available anymore, but anyone can go to the county courthouse, pay a research fee, and lookup/confirm whether or not an indivual has a CCW permit from the court.

Missouri - private. It is tied to your driver's license information so if an LEO runs you license it will show the ccw, too.

So, they changed this? That's good. When I lived in FL, I remember a news channel doing a piece on CCW then mentioning they had a link to every FL CCW permit holder. It didn't stay up long, but it was scary. My name AND address was on it. Nice way to provide a shopping list for criminals. I remember Titusville was having problems with break ins where they were specifically looking for firearms.

Indiana is public and I'm not aware of any organized attempt to change this. I wish there was. I would write and donate.

I sent off my wifes and my renewal yesterday. States on the form that by signing it and submiting it, it becomes a public record...
