Mine was hard when the clips were new.Now it is a piece of cake.I suppose the springs loosen up with use.

It can get a bit tough near the end, esp whenn they're new. I admit that I often use the loading tool when at the range.

I always have a hard time getting the last one or two in without the loader.

Load one up with 13 rounds, then let it sit for a few days. After that it won't be hard at all. Mine are very easy to load and I have no problems with getting 13 in now.

I have to say honestly that I have never had that problem with any of my XD mags. I use to use the loader sometimes at the end of the magazine but I've grown so accustomed(sp?) to it that I can easily load all my XD mags with quick efficiency.

Hit the range more and do a TON of shooting. That'll get your thumbs in shape!

I used the loader at first, but getting the last two in was next to impossible, with the loader. Since then I never use the loader. It's easier now completely by hand.

I can't seem to get the loader to work properly, most likely b/c I've never seen one in proper use,or used one before.

Didn't seem to have any trouble loading up my XD40SC mags...

    did ya mean 16?

I have no issues with my 45 mags, I have two 10 rounders and two 13 rounders. My xd9sc the 10 rounder is easy and the 16 rounder is a little stiff

+1 on this depending on what caliber you have. my XD40, the last 2 rounds are still hard to load.
