    The best X-Mas gift ever

Well I'm finally offically no longer a helpless sheep. I received my CHL today. Just in time for X-mas. So you already know my requested gift from my other half, a C-Tac holster for my Ruger P94 DC .40. I realize that with the license comes a great responsibility and happily accept that responsibility in exchange for being able to protect myself and my family at all times. I have to commend the state of TX for recognizing the value of a trained armed soldier in society even after they have seperated from service by waiving the licensing fee for recently seperated soldiers.
Why walk softly and carry a BIG stick when a BIG GUN is more efficient and you can walk however you want to?

If you shoot alot a great stocking stuffer is the UpLula pistol magazine loader. It costs about 25-35 bucks depending on where you go. It will save your thumbs!

Congradulations! And secondly, Thank You for your service. I know Santa is a CPL holder and always carries when he passes through my Metro Detroit neighborhood. If I see him and he is not dodging bullets from "sleigh-jackers" or frustrated hunters, I will put in a good word for you. How were the nachos? Stay safe.

Also, thank the state of Texas for cutting the fee to 1/2 for veterans.

    Half of $140 for renewal = $70
Half of $70 for renewal for over 60 years old = $35
    Half of $35 for veteran = $17.50.

That means that my next renewal will be less than my driver's license.

A hearty congratulations from Mid Missouri. Glad to see Texas has another armed citizen!

My Sheriff's office waived their fee for me since I was a former city cop. Saved $66.

Glad Texas is looking out for it's Vets, too.

I got a kick out of that one too. I was wondering what was meant about the "how were the nachos" response earlier. The funny part is that after getting my permit I did think about having to get some new pants sized for an IWB holster

My waist had grown to where I was going to have to start buying bigger pants anyway, so the carry gun was a good excuse to do so.
