I wipe my carry guns down and oil them every weekend. One just to be safe, two because I enjoy it, and three I'm bored.

Anything taken to the range gets cleaned...anything sitting in the safe for more than a few months gets cleaned...
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it...

    Stay armed...keep it cleaned...stay safe!

This is generally what I do, although I may occasionally clean it just because I'm in the mood....

Function check daily and apply lube if needed, clean monthly even if not fired.

I always clean after shooting and if a weapon goes a while without being fired, say two months, I will clean it anyway

Whenever I shoot it which is generally every other week. If it has gotten dirty some other way, then as needed.

I shoot about every other day so I clean it after I shoot. If i miss a day I'll wipe it down and check that everything is clean.

Every two or three weeks I strip it down and wipe it down with a silicone cloth. Apply a spartan amount of lube if it needs it which it almost never does.

After every firing exercise, even if only a couple of rounds. Detail strip whenever I get bored. I love seeing a 1911 stripped down to the parts!

I try to make it to the range once a week and it gets a good cleaning right after that. Mags I usually clean about every other time.

Ditto for me and a wipe down with a silicone cloth.
