Anyone here in PA planning on going to the farm show in Harrisburg? Any security I should be concerned about or any CCW issues?
I went last year and left the gun home. I was driving there non-stop, driving home non-stop, parking in the bussed in lot.
Probably a good thing. Jabba the Hut ... er ... Governor Rendel, passed within about a foot of me surrounded by lots of nervous looking body guards and state troopers.
The bussed in parking is a bit of an issue. I could be mistaken but I think it is in a Federally owned facility (mental hospital) near as I can tell.
I haven't been there recently. When I was there, security was pretty much a non issue.
I was at the complex for a gun show before Christmas. There was the usual screening at the door but I saw nothing that would indicate that there is a "no gun" policy on the property.

I found nothing in the official state web pages about weapons at the show.
Farm Show: Visitor Information
"Security during Farm Show Week is provided by the Pennsylvania State Police and Farm Show Security."
There may be a statutory prohibition for carry there - but the Farm show site & State Dept of Agriculture site are silent about it.

Why wouldn't you carry?
