Until I figure something btter I've been carrying my 4" Speed-Six OWB with a liht cover garment. Was working in the garage a few days ao and saw a guy parked across the street taking pics of my house and a few others nearby.
Walked over to discuss it with him, and he fell all over himself explaining that he works for an appraiser service. He went to get a card out of his organizer, and I sort of put my hand on my belt where I could sweep the jacket back easily just in case. He went white, handed me the card, stammered a few more things and drove off.
After he left I realized that looking "up" from his car seat he could see the bottom 1" of my holster as I was standing beside his car. I feel bad for scaring the guy, but I don't think I'm paranoid for checking him out, being armed while I did it, or condidering the possibility he was going for a weapon when he reached for his business card.
I will have to either carry IWB or wear a slightly longer jacket.
