How many hours a day do you carry?

Let's assume that everyone sleeps 8 hours. That leaves 16 waking hours. Of those 16 hours, how many do you carry?

I know the ideal is 16, but some can't carry at work, some travel, go into other states, etc.

So for the sake of the poll, just round that number...on average.

About 11 hrs. So that leaves 5 hrs of not carrying, but it is relatively close by then.

I probably average 6 hours on week days because I carry to work and then home from work and all evening but not "at" work. On weekends It's pretty much from when I first get dressed to go out or to get busy around the house until night so my daily "average" is probably a bit higher than "6".

I struggle with "at work" carry. It's agains the rules but I'm sorely tempted to carry my P3AT but I belive that's "breaking the rules" which is something I try never todo.

If could carry at work I'd carry pretty much all day every day.

From 0700 to 1900 five days a week. Weekends vary.

Probably, on average, about six. As a public-school educator, I cannot carry during the school day. Also, I cannot carry while participating in one of my civic organization activities. Otherwise, I carry the rest of the waking hours.

I carry close to 4 hours per day - since I'm retired and at home most of the day there is little reason to carry but believe me I'm not far from one. I used to carry all day 6 days a week.

Being fortunate re working at home and not having to go much at all to non carry locations, I put 16.

In effect - that means all day - from rising to going to bed. Might seem odd to many as I sit here at puter with very little chance of needing it but - in the rig, on the belt it stays, regardless. My rig only ever comes off the belt when I change into clean jeans again.

This means that there would, if it was needed, not be that hesitation as to where it is - or having to reach far - I expect it to be where it as at all times. Just like my wrist watch - can always check the time.

Hopefully too that's where it'll stay, unused for hostilities!

There is a firearm on my hip or within arm's reach 24/7. The only exception is when I travel to a place where my permit is not recognized, and that's maybe 3 weekends a year.

Always have two guns on except for while in bed or showering. Not paranoid, could go down to say 10 hours but it is easier to keep them were they are at rather then take them off. Of course that is when something bad would happen.

Had to put down 10. of course I only sleep 6-7 hours a day, work 8, so that takes up 14-15 hours. The rest of the day I either have it straped on or setting right beside me.

I put 14 of 16, though it's more than that, as I don't sleep quite 8hrs. Of the couple/three hours I don't carry, as such, it's right there.
