LA Now Honors NV - AR-NH Sign Agreement
Louisiana has added Nevada to the list of states it will honor. NV already honored a LA permit. AR - HN have signed an agreement. NH Has not updated their web site as of this evening. I have been in contact with the AR State Police and they have ironed out the differences with NH. Handgunlaw.us has already been updated to show these changes in Reciprocity.

Why are you still showing MS as not being reciprocal with AR when you click on AR.? I thought we had that figured out? It's even listed on the ASP website.

1/16/08 Date of Email. Received this in when emailing back and forth trying to get the Mississippi thing straightened out. Mississippi still does not list AR on their list. This is why Handgunlaw.us does not list MS honoring an AR permit
Mr. Slider,
Below is one e-mail that we received from Mississippi. Arkansas does
not require a written agreement to honor their license (therefore the
e-mail was sufficient), but Mississippi does require a written agreement
to honor the Arkansas license. So there may be a point in time where we
honor theirs but they have not completed the paperwork to honor the
Arkansas license.
By copy of this e-mail I will renew contact with Mississippi officials
and check the status of the August letter.
I will let you know how it turns out.

Cora is a good woman. I deal with her occasionaly. I hope that it dosent take MS as long to update their website as it does for AR. That would explain it.
Thanks for the note.

It usally takes a legislative act. Thats what ours took.

Depends on their laws
Some states honor all other states permits. That is just the way their laws are written. Other states pick which states they will honor based on that states laws. They don't enter into agreements with them just check their laws and see if they meet their standards. Then Some states will only honor another states permit if the other state will honor theirs.
Then some states require a written agreement with the state that they will honor. Then some states will not honor any other states permits.
Some states appointed certain people to enter such agreements. Attorney General or even the State Polilce. Every state has its own laws concerning honoring other states permits. Hope this helps.

Wouldnt it be great if everyone just spread the love and all permits were honored by all states?
Of course, some of them danged yankees up north would have to die first for that to happen...

Cool. 1 more state for me.
NV just started to recognize out of state permits. The verbiage that was used to describe the process of picking who we would honor was something to the effect of "states that share similar requirements as NV and that has an instant check system so out LEOs can verify the permit." However, so far it seems that the only thing that mattered was the instant check system. Most of the states we recognize require much less to get a permit than NV.
