Is it me, or is this link going to a generic AP webpage?
Hmmm, didn't work for me either. Let me do some checking. Be right back.
I'm back - try this:

Looks the same to me, but this one seems to work.

Well, maybe one quote from the above:
"Kost, a resident of Arrowhead Ranch, was horrified that the shooting happened in his community.
"I live in a nice area of town," he said. "This doesn't happen here.""
Yep - "Nice area of town" - guarantees nothing can happen! Right!Sorry folks - if anything it can be the ''quiet guys'' who flip - we have seen it before numerous times.Quote:
"He was just a quiet guy and one of those people you would least suspect,"
At least round here I am carrying in and around Wally World - and all other stores. Plus too - this sad tale helps me feel less ''paranoid'' as I scan and walk in parking lot, as well as in store.
To quote my fave mantra - ''expect the unexpected''.
It can happen top anyone, anywhere. be prepared.
The LP in my handle stands for "Loss Prevention". I spent 9 years at places like Walmart catching shoplifters and trust me when I tell you, cameras never stop people from doing bad things.Quote:

Before it was all over, a pawn shop employee called in and was especially upset that those that have a concealed carry permit could even buy a gun without having to submit to a background check before taking the gun home. A CCW permit was being portrayed as a "loophole" in checking backgrounds of buyers, allowing a felon to instantly walk out with a gun even if his permit had been revoked but he had not physically turned it over to authorities. I called into the show to try and give the other side of the story but got bounced because of a change in the topic. I will email the host tonight.
I cringe when this stuff happens and people start reacting this way because I know by the time it is over the gun will twist and distort everything to suit their own purposes. I expect, at the very least, to see someone try to "pass a law" that permit holders must have the background check for each purchase. I just hope WalMart doesn't now put no firearms signs at their entrances....
Bumper that really chaps my bottom too.
The FBI has my prints on file and my photograph and I didn't even do anything. Of course they had it already because I was a licensed public school teacher.
I like to imagine the FBI has these file cabinets with labels on them somewhere. "Rapists" "Serial Killers" "Theives" "Child Molestors" "Embezzlers" "Arsonists" "Teachers" and "CCW Holders" :grumpy:
I love being grouped into the same people who are a pox on society. Nice to know what the public at large really thinks of me both on and off the job.

its a thread on GT if you wanna check it as it progresses...I may not be able to keep up on it..
OK thx - I'm not a member there but if you or someone has a link to target the relevant thread then I'll check it out.
`
I just read the GT thread and one poster claims the stabber was shot 5 times and killed and the stabee is alive in the hospital. Unfortunately the thread evolved quickly into a "Can I carry in Walmart?" discussion.
I'll check again later.
