About LinkBacksIs it legal in Michigan for a 18 year old to conceal carry a pistol while at work if given permission by the owner of the company and property? Obviously the 18yo doesn't have a CPL, but it's private property, so I'm not sure about it.

Is it legal in Michigan for a 18 year old to conceal carry a pistol while at work if given permission by the owner of the company and property? Obviously the 18yo doesn't have a CPL, but it's private property, so I'm not sure about it.

sorry to say,to carry concealed(legally)in michigan, you have to
be 21 to receivce cpl. see www.michigan state police.com for
requirements.

I'm 18 and I carry at my grandpas business, I found out its much easier to go to a local police station or sheriff's office and have them answer all your questions. Just make a few phone calls

Private property is private and CPL is not required if the owner. I'm really not sure about an employee. I wouldn't want the liability of a under 21 non CPL carrying in my business.

Gray area. You have to be 21yo to obtain a CPL. You can be 18 and open carry with no permit (except in/on a vehicle you need a CPL).
You do not need a CPL to carry concealed on your property. Because of your age I do not know if this applies to you as well.
The person to contact in your area is your county district attorney. (S)He is the one who brings the charges. I would get it in writing from them, not the police.
What county? UP or downstate?
